Mega Knock Out

Hello!

This is my first ever pack for the PO-33 K.O! pocket sampler by Teenage Engineering.

I’ve been collecting my inspiration from my favourite legacy game console, the Sega Megadrive (Genesis in the US). It’s a game console from the 16-bit era, which had a particularly gnarly FM synth chip on board. I’ve been creating custom patches with the very faithful Chipsynth MD, both one-shot samples, and sliced kits.

In addition to the Megadrive sounds, there’s a collection of very textured kick drum percussive sounds, that I created with the Analog Rytm and the Analog Heat. I’ve also put a snappy piano kit in there, from my own piano, that mysteriously goes very well with these highly electronic sounds.

I’m gonna leave my music patterns in the pack too, so that you can get an example of how to arrange your music with this pack.
